Top of the league, everyone's happy, moaners are quiet, so you know what will happen in typical Nob End style, we'll get walloped 3-0. Not like you to be pessimistic Afar. Think we are tight at the back, players coming back etc. Mads to score from outside the box. They won't score 1 let alone 3 IMO 🤞 Not pessimistic, just that I've followed the Nobbers for soo long that I know when everything is going right, they let me down without fail. It's part of being PNE fan! |

Phew could easily have been 4 4 Amazing start, Millar looks a cracking lad and my MOM.  Browney going off at HT upset the fluidity but OMG they battled hard McCann good second half, Potts and Holmes immense Big Lad unfortunate after 2 cracking saves How many corners did they have??? Millar and Lindsay looked dead on their feet last 10 mins Very entertaining….. EIEIEIO |

Great game of football to watch, I thought they looked very good but Milly and Potts had better chances than any of Plymouths chances.
Miller looks a real player, tracked back and did his defensive duties as well as being our biggest threat.
Potts, Holmes, McCann were fantastic too

Amazing debut from Millar, playing LWB, RW and striker, goal and assist in one game. Two footed. Some player. Hope we’ve got a fee nailed down as part of the loan deal.
Plymouth played some good football, good number of fans aswell. Every credit.

Last season we would have lost that.
Credit to PA played some super stuff + great turn out from their fans.
PNE immense today so many put a shift in, Miller, what a debut.

Would not have begrudged Plymouth a point today for making it such a cracking game (and for the quality of their passing and movement). However we finished two chances and they didn't...it's football. V impressed by Millar.
We lost midfield control when Brown went off.

Oh my God, how good is Millar? Not often I get excited ABOUT PNE but we are now winning games by scoring where, in the past, we would have lost because we couldn't score. When we can play badly /be outplayed & still win that means we have a team with character & a winning mentality. Well done RL |

Just got to mention when we signed Duane Holmes was totally underwhelmed but got to say he has been an absolute revelation, 3 goals and always eager to drive us forward, diminutive in stature but a colossus on the pitch

Just a little story from Saturday which emphasizes how seriously dedicated football fans are.
I was walking across the car park about 2 o'clock, there was a family of Plymouth fans, three adults and maybe four kids all posing as a family group in their Plymouth shirts.
Another adult was taking a photo of them with our magnificent stadium for the backdrop.
Me being the gentleman I am and a long standing member of the Gentry approached the chap and said "if you want to be on the photo also I will take it for you.
The guy said that he wasn't with the group and he was just taking the photo for them.
The family say thanks and off they go.
I carry on walking with the chap making general conversation with the obvious question, how long has it taken to get here, he replies that the family told him it had took them seven hours.
At this point I couldn't help realise that the guy was talking with a broad Scottish accent.
I mean, the next question was obvious, Scottish accent, Plymouth?
He tells me that it had also took him seven hours to get from Inverness, he tells me that most Scottish fans have an English team they follow and he chose Plymouth.
I told him he should have chosen a team closer to the border.
He said he was a Kilmarnock fan also and was well used to travelling.
After a bit more chit chat he says he is off to get a selfie at the Sir Tom Finney statue and we bid our farewell's with my telling him that I wished them luck for the season with the exception of today and the return match.

Although delighted to get the win and the performance of our new signings. I thought we were cruelly exposed in midfield they were a very good side quick and nippy. We reverted to long ball up to striker a little too much. I must say Whiteman is a massive improvement on Ledson to Ledsons credit he has been doing ok.
I never get carried away but I dont begrudge anybody enjoying the moment. Huge tests coming up but another thee points to safety so I am naturally pleased.
