They are not genuine football fans PP, they can't be.
I hate lazy headlines like that ...because until they are caught no-one knows what they are and it impugns all other football fans.
Just because football graffiti is sprayed it doesn't mean anyhting other than brain dead offensive morons have been there.

Honestly dont believe things are going to get any better as long as PR is at the club and seeing has there doesnt appear any inclination for the owners to to be rid of him I fear for next season and the quality of the new signings I dont rate RL even if the players he has are the worst I have seen at PNE for a long time ( again down to PR imho ) the football he has us playing is Sunday park and you have to wonder just what we do in training sessions and there is no doubt the reason we finished as high as we did is purely down to having the worst Championship I can remember

I think you are absolutely right oldun.
The club has been, and will continue to be, run on a short-term basis. Ths consequences of wasting £millions on short-term signings and poor recruitment whilst not investing in the development and commercial infrastreucture are now coming home to roost...particularly as even the cost of loan signings has escalated.
Hence we are now seeing youngsters pushed forward (although apart from Mawene I;ve not seen one that impressed me) and , with a reduced budget, high earners will go......but we've only got three players with an add on sales value (Woodman, Whiteman and Riis....who will no doubt run their contracts down) and a squad that has ben getting worse season on season.
Afraid it is just poor management and running of the club.....I look at the squads with comparable, and even smaller, budgets and they are stronger than us. I would not even call Rovers better run because of the astronomical debt but at least they are managing it with a commercial income 5 times larger than PNE and they are both producing their own players and have ones with substantial add on value.
Given that PNE is available for the right price things are not going to get better...but you can guarantee panic will set in if we look like losing Champ status. And there is now a real prospect of this (look at the goals deficit this season).
It's going to require some mega good signings this summer to turn things around....and when has that occurred under Hemmings and PR?

The only thing that bothers me about upgrading the youth set up is that the "big" clubs just hoover up all the promising young talent anyway.
It is just part of their business plan, as is stated they make money from charging astronomical loan fees.
For any player, young or older, it seems to be a reciprical thing for both clubs and the player, all three profit from the deal in football experience for youngsters and older players getting needed playing time, with the exception of lower league club with little money having to fork out to big clubs with loads of money, extortionate loads of dosh.
Don't know a lot about it and it is possibly better regulated than it was, but the way youth football is regulated it appeares to need a bit more emphasis on what is best for the young people rather than the billion pound businesses.
If we did upgrade the set up could we attract better quality lads than we already do?

Our youth team players aren’t good enough. Cross Adir looks out of his depth at Bamber bridge. Same with the lad who was on loan earlier in the season, can’t recall his name. Absolutely miles off champ standard.
Brig do get a few players in from Blackpool who regularly make an impact. Which worries me a lot!

If we did upgrade the set up could we attract better quality lads than we already do? ...but they don't MM , it's a fallacy. Yes, I agree that the rules allow then to take Academy players for a nominal fee (in return for the support they receive from the Prem for running a higher level Academy...up to £500,000 a season) but in practice they are rarely interested. Apart from having their own talent they are now restricted as to the numbers they can take. Look at Bristol City and Alex Scott.....it's been common knowledge in the football world that they have had a potential superstar, yet they have managed to keep him. It's up to clubs to respond to any threat , and they can ....if the player is good enough offer them a first team contract! (I agree px6 with you re current young players...Mawene looks a prospect but that's it. Someone I know who has seen more of them than I have rates Leigh but he looked lost.when brought on at Bramall Lane...yet another stupid substitution by Lowe, As if bringing a youngster on when you are being outplayed is going to do them any good).
