Last game of the Season so let's finish with a bang. I had forgotten that I would be away on holiday this week, so not much time for research etc. Manager - Tony Mowbray. Getting long in the tooth now but done a great job at Sunderland with a young Squad. Happy to support him now he's not at Rovers, but not for this match. He's got good loan signings & Diallo looks like he will be a good young player. He does well on Football Manager as well. I don't want us to lose & I don't want Rovers in the Playoffs so hoping Millwall win & we at least Draw. Will be following from afar & everyone have a good day.

If the Plastics are winning I’d rather get beaten in this game, obviously I’m hoping Millwall and us win.
After RL’s comments this week it will be interesting to see the lineup. Do we blood some youth or play our strongest team? It may show us which of the players are classed as “mediocre” and “ambition less”.
No matter what I’m hoping the fans stay behind and give them a clap for their efforts this year. Several deserve a decent end of season send off. Alvaro has been great, Ched gave his all, Potts has run himself into the ground along with several others, despite a real lack of quality the effort has generally been on show. Could be a wave goodbye to DJ too-who has probably been one of north ends best signing of the last 15 years..
As usual I’m going to miss the football and will be cursing the fact that the pretend “sport” of white chino’s and sandwiches is being discussed.

The lads have worked hard. I just hope we don’t hand it to Sunderland in front of an adoring away end. Last time we’ll see some of the lads in white.

Phantom Winger, I hope its the last time we see some of them but they go on to have a good career in the lower leagues where they belong

I'm only concerned with winning, shutting up the Mackems, and finishing as high as we can. Whatever any other club does is of no concern.
The team certainly needs a good shake up (so much for PR's master strategy and team building) and it will no doubt be the last time a number of players will be seen (although I've also no doubt some will sit on contracts because they can't do any better anywhere else). Only inclusion in a 'full strength' side I'd like to see is young Mawene.
Sunderland's team shows the value of producing your own players.
Good luck to the players leaving though...only downside to this is that all those who should go won't and PR will still be there to oversee contracts and recruitment. On top of which we shall still hsve our mediocre amnager.
----- Many years ago I had occasion to visit the Robbins family home in Oldham...smashing down-to-earth Lancashire family, dad a copper...and have followed Mark Robbins managerial career. How I wish we had him...has a brain, knows a player when he sees one and can motivate a team. My Champ manager of the season given what he has had to work with at Coventry...although I'd also give credit to Mowbray. Despite the size of the following he hasn't had pots of money to play with but has brougt on youngsters from their Academy and developed young players brought in from elsewhere...and a very good job of it he has made. I think the club has assembled a very useful young squad without spending a great deal. Take away Diallo and the wage bill is not dissimilar to PNE.

Can we spoil the play off party for another North Eastern team? If we don’t we could spoil it for Rovers instead. Got to take the positives.

It's an important game...and I only hope that Lowe has a team that has been prepared properly for it.
It's going to be the last match until July and the feeling from the performance and outcome is one that will linger.
Should be a good atmosphere as well.
For me the most significant aspect of this season has been the gates. For over half the season I thought the home performances dire, truly dreadful, but there is no doubt that with the occasional blip there has been a steady improvement (whilst I still have no confidence in Lowe). The way the gates have held up has surprised me and just shows the potential growth that is there.
I renewed season cards on Sat morning going in to the ticket office (in the process avoiding seeing one second of £100m of public expenditure to put a crown on a head...in a country that can't pay public sector workers properly).....59th consecutive year (apart from time at Uni).
I don't have unrealistic expectations or compare us , a club that can muster 16,000 supporters on a good day, with one that can pull in 40,000 but I just hope that this summer is used productively (for a change) and we don't start next season again having an unbalancexd squad and failing to bring in necessary players.
Another last day like Boro will do nicely, thank you. I'm looking forward to it.

Pretty much agree with all of that, definitely want us to be full strength today, but would be good to see FCA and a few other youngsters (Kian Taylor maybe?) along with a start for Lewis Leigh in Whiteman’s position if, as we expect, Ben is still ‘injured’.

Looks like we could be in for a rousing booing of the National Anthem today! I suppose Lowe and Ledson et al will take the lead.

Very little between these two sides except one is playing championship football and the other plays Sunday park football and yet some people still can't see the difference between managers like Mowbery and Lowe

A disgrace Ledson captain it’s no wonder the faith I had lost years ago it is now my sons who are like I used to be and that is killing me. A pathetic shambolic club.

Mowbray proper manager. Lowe just a useless chancer. Fear that L1 beckons in 2004.

We will go down if Ledsons a starter next season. Absolute no doubt about it.

And his answer is to bring on the midfield maestro Woodburn In all fairness, 7 players who probably start not available today. Not much he can do. Take 7 starters out of any team and they probably lose.

Double counting there, px6. Highly unlikely all 7 would have started together, and Sunderland also were missing key players
