Robbie Brady 2 year deal,, I think I’d have preferred a one year deal but overall I’m pretty happy he’s signed.

I thought that he was terrible last season...constantly gave the ball away, disappeatred in games and was regularly injured. The occasional decent cross did not justify a place.
Seems yet another lazy signing...like Woodburn. Is it any wonder S|T sales are down?

I thought that he was terrible last season...constantly gave the ball away, disappeatred in games and was regularly injured. The occasional decent cross did not justify a place. Seems yet another lazy signing...like Woodburn. Is it any wonder S|T sales are down? I agree and I wonder what his wages are. He played 90 minutes on 10 occasions and started 23 times. 6 assists 0 goals. I suspect he couldn’t get a better offer elsewhere. |

Disagree he had a poor season however he has ability he might just surprise a few who do you want Ryan Ledson?😂

I'd gladly pay for Ledson's taxi...he just is not a Champ standard player.
I'd take Alvaro back though on the left......proper footballer this lad (but not a defender as Lowe wrongly tried to use him).

I wish people would stop using 'a limited budget' as an excuse for poor recruitment and low expectation although it's not surprising when the club itself does this, including the manager.
Nine sides last season had a wage budget around the same level or lower....much lower in some cases, Luton, for instance being half that of PNE.
I have no idea what Brady is costing. What I do know is that no matter what it is he is taking the club nowhere playing like he did last season.
I watched the Notts Co/Chesterfield National League play=off final. There were better players on the pitch (by which I mean physically stronger, quicker and technically more able) than the likes of Woodburn and Ledson (Brady is technically able but physically not strong enough and he lacks composure when under pressure).
Re-signing the likes of Brady and Woodburn is simply a reflection on lazy inadequate recruitment.
I expect better because it is not hard to achieve with even a reduced wage budget.

Sadly, it is an indictment of where North End are & what the capability of the Management is. This is the weakest Squad we've had in years. We were stronger in Div 1 than currently. Whatever we are paying Brady & Woodburn is too much. Sadly, we are heading in the direction of Barnsley/Leeds & Cardiff. Recognise the traits?

Who hacked on your chips. Not using it as an excuse, personally think brady is a good technical experienced pro that we need. We haven't got the money to go out and buy a myriad of players. We managed to sign Pearson, Johnson, Robinson and more recently Whiteman, these are the style, quality and price range we should be looking at.
Competitive market maybe, worthwhile most certainly.
What 100% needs sorting out is contract renewal, it's unbelievable so many carp players have had their contract renewed.

If it wasn’t for all the injuries in centre mid Woodburn would have probably been gone by now. Just unfortunate.
Buy hey, blame Risdale and Lowe if it makes us feel better.
Happy Brady is on for another season. Top assisted at the club. And think he was second in the whole league for big chances created. But does this mean Fernandez isn’t coming back. But a think we all know this anyway.

Pretty meaningless when you are not fit for half the games played in a season and only complete 10.....6 assisst was his season, 0 goals. How many times did Brady give the ball away showing no composure under pressure? He'd be in the top 10 ranking per game for that.

Exactly Daws & that is the reason every Club he has been involved with has failed. Can anyone name a Club he has been succesful at? The Quality of recruitment in recent years, under the control of Ridler, has been appalling. Anyone want a £1M 16yr old that cant play at Championship level? enough said. |

He must of been successful at Hull for Norwich to pay £7 million for. Then I’m guessing he did well there, because Burnley paid £13 million for him.
150+ premier league games.
60 caps for Ireland.
Need any more proof he’s a decent player?

Yes, when I see him playing at lwb in a white shirt and actually beat a fb....at least givng himself a chance to get to or near the line and pull back a cross so that defenders are having to turn and face their own goal and , if overhit, the ball is still in play. All we got, at best, was the occasional long diagonal ball...with an absolute matter of chance as to whether or not it found its man. His history shows the extent to which he has been over rated , that's all. Burnley never took up the option to extend his contract before releasing him. He was given justv 6 games in a season at Bournemoth and failed to make it there before being released and joining PNE.
He is a technically good player with a useful left foot...far better footballer than the likes of L2 standard Ledson and Woodburn...but his contribution towards clubs and influence on matches has been going backwards for seasons. Only PNE would give him a 2 years contract...ridiculous.

Laat year the average price of a terraced house in London was £742,000...in Preston the average house was £228,000.
Someone tell Nesbitt...mind you if he's selling anyhting in Edinburgh he'll get nearer a London than Preston price.
