READING is known...
...for its beer, biscuits and bulbs in the industrial revolution, Reading has transformed into a vibrant, metropolitan town located on the River Thames and Kennet & Avon Canal.
Home to the UK's iconic Reading Festival, its growing arts and culture community boasts some of the best entertainment in the country.
Reading's rich and diverse communities are represented by its global food and drink scene, with well-known chains and quirky independents serving everything from street food to fine dining.
With three shopping centres and a pedestrianized high street jam-packed with household brands and independent retailers, you'll find shopping in Reading rivals some of the bigger cities in the South East.
So it's like the Preston of the Thames Valley.

READING have a manager...
...who needs no introduction to PNE fans, his connection with the Lashers is all you really need to know.
He won't relish coming to Preston as he has us down as a bunch of knife wielding thugs from the time he brought his team of donkey's to graze on Deepdale's hallowed turf.
I suppose to be fair to the bloke he played for ManU, Liverpool and Inter Milan, he also played 53 times for his country and was also sometime captain.

The READING game that...
...sticks in my memory but not for great reasons, hobbling down Moor Park Ave on crutches with my broken leg.
We had a very decent team, Reading were looking good under Steve Coppell but I thought we were going to put them straight.
Reading had Kitson and Lita and they were to much for us on the day.
I think it was the start of Readings glory days.
Match Stats
We got our revenge of sorts on a "packed out" Reading stadium a few years later!

READING have been handed...
...an immediate six-point deduction for breaching the EFL's profitability and sustainability rules.
The sanction relates to the club's failure to meet the terms of a business plan agreed following a breach of the profit and sustainability limits in 2021. The initial breach carried a six-point penalty with a further six points suspended until the current campaign, and that has now been enforced.
Not sure how this will affect them, for better or for worse?

...a PNE team who are in a reasonable position in the league, PNE will be a bit short due to injuries, who knows what the outcome will be. COYW.
