I don’t think he’ll do a Bournemouth and refund the fans. Lads in the pub were saying worst they’ve seen in years. I hope Archer curbed his celebrations. Next few games will nail my ST for next year. Lad at Uni might pick my games instead. Not sure I can stomach 23 instalments of what’s been on offer this season. Doused my enthusiasm big time. Chore now. Archer didn’t celebrate at all PW. In fact he was last off the pitch at the end having come across to applaud the PNE support, who returned the compliment with a loud rendition of ‘Cameron Archer Baby’. He has rocketed in PNE’s ‘cult legend’ status now, and, like Callum Robinson, shown the type of genuine affection that is rare in football.

Well and truly beaten yesterday, fans did us proud and some real nice compliments on Boro forum Their team yesterday didn’t cost a fortune (Akpom and McGree apart) mainly loans and youth, proves what can be done with correct infrastructure in place:- Steffens - Loan Smith - Free Giles - Loan Fry - Youth Lenihan - Free Hackney - Youth Howson - 4m (6 years ago) Akpom - 3m Ramsey - Loan Archer - Loan McGree - 2.5m Apparently their 22-23 seasons wage bill is £9 million more than ours. Yeah there’s no such thing as a ‘free’ transfer. Lenihan, similar Swift and Wallace would cost a fair packet. Them loans signings will have a hefty wage contribution and loan fee attached. Also shows again what a decent youth set up gets you.

I totally get Gentry Day and the comfort and togetherness it gives some of our supporters. It rightly deserves publicity but I fear that yesterday it has unwittingly masked the onfield deficiencies and problems of the team. Yesterday was a dire performance .Even up against superior opposition I'm not sure what positives we can take from it.
