Since returning to the Champ the club has signed the following sick notes
Kirkland Olosundo Wickham Brown Bodin Moult
Although latter two developed serious injuries whilst with the club both had had significant injuries requiring surgery earlier in their careers.
In addition May managed 12 games in 2 seasons as a consequence of injury.
Vermijl always had something wrong with him as well (twisted eyelash, broken finger nail etc) and as a consequence was rarely fit to play.
Injuries will happen...but signing players with certain known injury histories is crazy particularly those prone to ligament injuries. So many players are just never the same after, say, a cruciate injury. Big psychological issues as well with players who have tendon and ligament issues...I know PNE did get rid of one player because he insisted he had a problem and was not fit to play when medics/physio said he was OK.
As far as PE is concerned not one single 'injury signing' has worked ...club never learns......on the other hand you can say the same thing about every other 'fit signing' such as been the shocking standard of recruitment.
Club could have run an upgraded Academy and started producing its own players for what this must have cost.
But then again, we all know the short sighted and short term way the club is run.
