Shame we didnt get a goal to celebrate. Game plan was working until a worldy changed things.
Quality showed in the end and two great goals from Son ( plus Peresic) changed everything.
Moving back to the league and Bristol City on Saturday.

The team played well but Spurs have enough quality to rest Kane. We matched them, albeit on the back foot looking for the Counter, until a Worrldy from Son. Happy that our boys gave them a game.

Couldn’t lay a glove on spurs. Exactly this. Too nice and respectful. Even Ledson didn’t get booked! Son… wow. 🔥 Liked the starting 11 but both strikers played as extra midfielders so we couldn’t get forward. Sometimes Cannon did but was then waiting half an hour for Evans to catch up. 😂 |

Don't think Lowe could have picked a much better side (I'd never pick Ledson but understand as to why anyone may want to see him in such a match).
Match went pretty much as I expected. Created nothing and undone by the quality of Son.
Held them in the first half simply because the wbs were so deep we had a back 5.
Although we never looked like scoring I make Evans my MoM...considering he had zero support I thought he did really well to hold the ball up. Cannon looked way out of his depth but probably unfair to judge him against such opposition.
Decent performances too from McCann, Whiteman and Browne...but unless the midfielders get forward and support the likes of Evans and get into the opp. box we'll never score.

OK we’re going to struggle against Spurs. Nothing new we’ve seen all the top sides here in the cup but at least give a performance which you can take into next week.

Feeling disappointed and a little let down. Never expected to win but wished we had gone down fighting after giving it a good go.
