Was only last week everyone was saying he should try something new to get a result at home. Turns out they were wrong. Stick to your guns.
Bamboo had a storm v Huddersfield, would be hard to find anyone prematch saying he shouldn’t start.
Ledson is terrible, would struggle in league one.

This squad should NEVER play a back four for two reasons. 1) We have no right back and 2) Lindsay is too slow to play as part of a back 2 pairing and none of the other Centre halves are good enough to do this either. The 3 protects the lack of pace as one drops off. It’s basic stuff really. |

Exactly where is the mean Defense that we displayed earlier in the Season? Just hope that this is a "One-off". |

Would never have guessed we started with a back four, Lindsay is great as the middle of a back three but in a foir struggles.
The goals we conceded were all poorly defended or should I say not defended. They were faster to the ball looked stronger than some of our lightweights and passed and moved at pace.
Plus points Delap and Cannon linked well, Parrott could prove an assett when he is back up to pace, Browne best of the rest
Truly shocking performance one other plus point City could quite easily have got double figures today

The question needs to be asked " Exactly why did the Manager change his 1st choice Formation for one, where we do not have a RB? Has he lost the plot? Would have preferred him to stick with his plan and lose than see this poor display. He is getting desperate to my mind. Then again, we are really not good enough to be challenging for Promotion with the Clubs that we are up against. Just hope that the new Strikers can learn and help us on our way. |

Thanks for that Mooney. Just want Johnson to stamp his authority on the game, which is why we pay him what we do. Just wish that someone would have paid me £1M pa to play for North End - I would have done it for next to nothing. Wasn't that bad, but Wages were a lot lower then! If only, I was before my time but I had great fun playing all over the country as a mobile CF. On balance, maybe all that heading a ball means that I should seek compennsation? NO, I would do it all again. |

Atrocious.
Apart from when at Uni I've hardly missed a home game since 1963/4 and that today was as bad as anything I've seen.
For the first time ever I left well before the final whistle.
I disagree over the 4 at the back...in principle nothing wrong with this. The problems were down to
- the personnel ....effectively we had 4 cbs in there (Hughes is better as a left cb than fb). So in the middle there were just two players one utterly lacking in pace up against fast on the deck strikers
- the additonal failure by Lowe to adequately replace Whiteman. There was simply nobody sitting in front of the defence. Ledson is a waste of space, he was constantly on the wrong side of his man and can't read a game, poor McCann ends up being hooked when he recognised what was going wrong and got back but failed to win a tackle that would have stopped one goal. He's twice the player Ledson is.
- Browne and Johnson being utterly useless on the flanks. Johnson stood off and Browne didn't start playing until we were 3 down and even then he frequently held ther ball too long.
It was an embarrassing shambolic performance for which the manager is responsible...lack of organisation, lack of a match plan to address the opposition, poor team selection, poor subs (hooking the wrong players).
What goes on in training.? When Norwich got the ball they had 4 or 5 players running off it with pace creating options.Had their players not got greedy then we could well have lost 7 or 8-0 ..it wouldn't have flattered them.
We get the ball, theere's no outlet , lack of movement, players taking a touch too many , and there's poor decision making arising from ther lack of options
Only bright spot for me was Delap...must be wondering what on earth he has let himself in for.

3/4 goals were very poor Defending. Where is the tight ship that started the Season? Also, time to get a RB, doesn't every Team have at least one? Crazy Management

left 15 minutes before full time and even then there was presumably extra added on, this was for the first time ever (so early) in almost 60 years of supporting, might also be an age thing but decided that we might as well get on the Motorway to head North early rather than have to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes for the car park to clear before setting off. Actually got back an hour earlier than normal - and THAT was the only result of the Day!.
Q - How poor was that?
Ans - Almost indescribably so!
Apparently we started off with a back 4 - if that was a back 4 and set up as a back 4 the coaches need to go back and do their coaching qualifications again!
4 centre backs as back 4?
When we kicked off we where trying to decide who was playing where and what the formation was?
Bambo was forward off the other 3, where was AB playing, was Hughes playing RWB, where was Woodburn playing?
They were literally all over the place from the get go. You (RL) cant prove that a formation doesn't work by not applying it half sensibly!
I am not actually a big lover of DJ thinking he has been decent when we play well but not a 'trooper' when times are hard, however today i thought it was harsh that HE was singled out for booes (that i never do, i either cheer or stay silent) when EVERYONE was absolutely crap.
Whilst our home form is dire as we have no players with real technical ability we Thankfully(generally) have a Team of decent runners and triers who can nullify better players and pick up points away from Deepdale!

walburghian,I would like to post more but seeing as I,ve decided I,m not wasting any more of my money( with fuel food and 2 tickets approx £100) watching the dire football I saw early season and which does not appear to have got any better I cant comment on the games I will just say when you have a very average team with a very average (at best) manager 2 unproven inexperienced additions arent going to make much difference

I just feel numb. Apathy. We are second rate...owners who want to unload Trevor's "toy", a jack-of -all trades football fan who is our chief administrator (he was deep in conversation with one of our lap top carrying analysts at half time), a delusional manager, jobs for the boys coaching staff, and a bewildered team lacking the cutting edge quality needed.
The crazy thing is that fans of many other championship rivals were probably having similar thoughts about their teams this season

Most irritating issue is RL’s failure to admit a mistake, I’m ok with anyone getting things wrong as long as the realise the issue and correct it and take responsibility!!
On a positive I thought Cannon and Delap looked strong and powerful and had the 2 cb’s beaten.

Did not go lost my belief it is just the same old story bargain basement footballers bargain basement tactics everything about the club from the board to the concourse second rate. When I see Brentford and their ground and fans and team my heart breaks.

One of the worst performances in my lifetime that I can't recall. Certainly at home. I think a lot of people would be less peeved if Lowe came out and explained he tried something different to arrest the home form and it backfired and that's on him. Instead he threw the players under the bus.
Can't see him going anytime soon though.
Poor Bambo... Lads had a run of 3 games playing well, got his confidence back in a position that suits him. Been told to "keep it simple". It was working.. Then Lowe just obliterated it again. Don't get it at all.
Delap and Cannon looked bright but both missed good chances. Some nice link up play and promising signs from them.
I don't mind Ledson but totally out of his depth today. Need Whiteman back. Parrott and Brady look a little rusty too.
Nothing will change until Ridsdale has gone but I don't know what needs to happen for Hemmings to get shut. The man makes me sick.
PS Pukki and Dowell class acts at this level.. Pukki applauded down the tunnel before full time by Town End.

The worst performance I have seen in a very long time. There was no passion from the players, went 1 down and our heads followed. Was hoping for a reaction but none came. Did look brighter when Delap came on but he should have pulled Ledson not McCann
