Totally agree Sup.
It must be 50 years since I missed a 3rd round FA Cup home game (love the Cup) but I've decided to give the Huddersfield game a miss (albeit I will only be in Chorley).
For me all the criticisms of the Hemming for the way the club is run is largely nonsense (there's some that is justified such as the continuing reliance on Ridsdale, the Ingol fiasco, inability to grow the commercial income and indifferent fan experience) ... but overall it's like criticising a theatre owner (who continues to operate and subsidise a theatre) because the productions are carp.
Whether or not the Hemmings stay or go as long as the out-of-touch out-of-time, poor judge of football, footballers and managers, egotistical, financially not credible Ridsdale is there nothing will change for the better.

The real problem is that we are not set up to score Goals and we cannot score Goals. Since I last posted on this issue we are now the 2nd worst Team in the Division & only Cardiff are worse. They,ve just subbed an unhappy Callum Robinson. Could do worse than try to loan him back to us IMO. Evans is not a true Goalscorer, RL will not play Riis- for whatever reason - Woodburn couldn't hit a Barn Dooor with a Banjo and no-one in MF can score. When Potts scores , it is 1 in a Million. Don't know what work we do on the Training ground, but it is not working in the Goal-HITTING area. Most teams don't need a Goallie against us -apart from Rovers & I still do not know how we did that.

I dont really have any optimism in the Jan window even if we make any signings as we have seen a decline in quality in nearly all the transactions in the years since our promotion back to the championship the present side is nowhere nearly as good that one and it is not down to finance IMO as lots of other teams seem to have picked up better players on a very similar budget to ours the blame belongs to whoever is been responsible for choosing to bring these players to the club

www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/key-points-peter-ridsdale-craig-25607718According to this it's the manager who has the final say on players, he has a budget and has to work within it. If this is true it is down to the manager if we renew contracts, and it is down to the manager if we waste the budget signing another midfielder before we get our RWB. If it's not true Lowe should have the balls to say so and take the big pay off when he gets sacked for speaking the truth.

That is just lazy ambiguous reporting...it makes it sould like RL has responsibility for recruitmernt when he doesn't. He might be able to turn around and say he doesn't want a particular player but that is a completeluy different matter to identification, negotiation with the club in question and contract negotiation!

So all three managers since Greyson are crap at knowing a good player when they see one and the problem is we keep selecting crap managers alright who keeps picking the managers (couldnt make it up)

That's right MM..he gets involved in everything. Before TH passed on he went to the old man for his final support before any signing was made but he went by what he was told. As Oldun points out he is the only consistent facfor in all the utterly mediocre signings When James Beet was taken on it was to report to PR on players he identified, not anybody else. Whilst others have been involved in the recruitment process if has still been PR who has been going oiut to watch players..I've even seen him!

Really hope this isn't true. The Riddler promised to match any loan offer from a championship club in the summer.
The division is bobbins this year and despite how poor we've been in last few games a signing like Archer could make a big difference to play off chances.

Riis damaged ACL rumour.... need a striker now Jacko was definitely checking his ACL but not sure. Can be difficult to diagnose until the MRI is in. Unlike me, I doubt Riis would have to wait 6 weeks for the scan and another 6 to get his results, so the club will know by now!

Sounds like we reached a financial agreement with Villa but Archer has chosen Boro. I guess you can’t blame him if he watched that West Brom performance.
The worry is the whisper that the board knew the important impact that Archer could have so set aside some budget for him only, well I hope this bit extra in the budget is still available as we only have 1 for senior striker.
At least 2 strikers and a rwb needed now with our main target going elsewhere. Let’s see what the recruitment team have up their sleeve now.

Even Archer can see our lack of ambition! What a setup this outfit is

Even Archer can see our lack of ambition! What a setup this outfit is Morning SLC... I'm trying to make sense of this and look at what goes on inside the players head. We know that Cameron Archer has a successful spell here, we know he loved it, developed a great rapport with the supporters, we know he would play every week (to be honest I think I'd get a game at the moment!), and we know that in Ryan Lowe, he had a manager who liked him, valued him, and helped to make him become a better player. So why Boro? To me the move would be more of a risk - less guaranteed game time in a side who have Akpom on about 12 goals. I believe Akpom is playing as one of two '10s', so he wouldn't be competing with him for a place. However, there is a two word phrase that people are not taking account of. Aaron Danks. We all know that football is an insular world and players love familiarity. Former assistant manager at Villa and highly thought of as a coach. Put him with Carrick, an attack minded manager, and there's the reason. This one is absolutely not on the club. Finance had been agreed and Boro paying same % as we would. I'm really gutted about this tbh. If Lowe said no to selling Riis and buying Robinson, a lot of the reason for this is on him. Obviously, we didn't know at the time Riis was going to do his ACL, but the quote that Lowe 'couldn't get better for the money on offer' is absolutely not true.

Can't say I'm surprised and the move makes sense to me. Better football, probably a better coach, better squad and a better chance of a promotion at the end of it all. Middlesbrough create chances and he'll be there to finish them. He'd be fighting for scraps with us the way we're playing. Hopefully we see some creativity injected when Parrott returns. FWIW I don't think Tom Cannon from Everton is the answer either. Better suited to league one which is probably where he's going with Sheff Wed. Can't wait for us to re-sign a washed up Hugill.

Was listening to a premier league manager saying we get players for 10 million and it will take 1 or 2 years to get them up to standard, we can’t afford to pay 100 million. Just waiting for Parrot to come back and then be told he is like a new signing.

Won’t stop the whinge bags coming out on force again.

I,ll be astonished if we manage to sign anyone good enough to make a difference if they have alternatives who the hell would want to join us the way we are playing

Villa being sensible, if they had reps at our last three games they would have said to Archer, Boro is a better option, Cole Stockton incoming

Stockton. Brains of a rocking horse but cheap...to be fair he's probably been playing at a level below his capability.
I'm not fussed at all by Archer situation....I always take whatever PR says with the underground contents of Cheshire, so I never expected him to return, and such returns don't always work out anyway.
Doesn't matter who is at the front the way we are playing...so it's more important to me to get in a fb and rwb and start creating chances and getting in shots. Anybody who could outsprint Tom Finney's statue will do..that is someone who can inject a bit of pace.

Macauley Bonne has had his contract cancelled at QPR. Linked with us previously and scored 3 in 44 for them.
It's got new signing for us written all over it.
