Predictable but acceptable. Once we find the onion bag, we will be a team to respect. In the meantime, every Team in this League now knows that we do not concede Goals. 9 Clean sheets from 12 , awesome.

3 more points to safety we play a very dangerous game and we will get spanked. Mc Cann and the Spaniel outstanding. The Spaniel needs dropping he is better than anyone in United defence now (SLC)

I don’t know about McCann but the Spaniard is something else. Quality ball in
Goalie was a contender for Motm
Glad we don’t have VAR
Surely this has to be SB last job in football when he’s gone tomorrow?

Good 3 points that and great to see Riis on the scoresheet. It just shows that if we can get on the scoresheet, especially early in the game, the opposition must fear, that because we are so good defensively, they then won't get anything out of it! I only watched on Sky because although a season Ticket holder we don't get on every game due to living in Morecambe but also having a small business in Flookburgh, Grange over Sands and its difficult getting there for night matches. From what i saw though the defence remains solid, Mccann had a good game (he should always start) here there and everywhere. Fernadez looks very impressive and another great loan signing. Maguire did fairly well (if only he could notch a few) and Riis took his goal well, and that's how he can score, facing the goal whilst running on to a cross deep in the opposition half. Whiteman is always solid if not spectacular, but you need your 6 or 7 out of 10 every week players. Another clean sheet for Freddie, he must be on course for some sort of record! All in all, very pleased tonight. I am sure however that PNE online who i have migrated from will be very depressed that we only scored one. If any of you happenchance to go on there and are not manic depressives before hand - you soon will be!!! Anyway, that's my last comment about that as that is also negative. I hope that whilst there will be critical debate on here it won't be destructively negative, and any criticism will be constructive!

Agree. Every credit indeed..Knew Dave Baxter (lovely man)r of the Baxters who married Netta (Italian),both died in Kendal.
Keep the faith as I am doing but rightly or wrongly, I'd had enough and let my nephew use my ST tonight. After the trip to Sunderland I'd had enough
I'll be back at Deepdale . Not yet read the full reports of tonight. COYW

Wooo hoooooo!!!!!🍻
Riis got my MOTM. Not just the goal but he was back defending and putting in tackles. Looked knackered on 65 mins but must have run 10kms
Lindsay, storey and woodman just look so solid.

COYW Hi, yes Baxters where based in Morecambe (where we live) but were taken over a few years ago by Furness Fish who are based in Flookburgh, obviously still Morecambe Bay based but as with many things not the original!! However, things evolve, personally ambivalent as its still based locally.

It's still an open division. No one's running away with it. I'd have taken out current position at the beginning of the season. Hopefully his goal will have given Riis some confidence.

Alvaro official MOM but many to choose from. Liam Lindsay for me and Freddy Woodman looks a great keeper. Freddie/Jordan making up for the loss of Iversen/Sepp for me. Just a pity right now that there’s nobody of Archer’s ability available on loan.

Enjoyable against a very talented WBA only woke up 10.15 , 15 mins into the match missed Riiiiiiiis goal We looked Italianeqsue in defence reminded me of Channel 4 football Italia good on the break . Cricfree sky comentators very complimentary even though on the whole bias towards WBA ( one sounded like a woman but dont think so ) Also had EFL Ifollow comentary with McKenna tail between their legs think he meant tails up WBA in second half ! McCann brilliant effort deserved a goal , All did their jobs tonight few stray passes cause for concern giving impetus to WBA but Livermore excelled at that when he came on 9 Clean Sheets promotion form !!! Riiiiis needs score 9 goals next 9 matches get us up there . Our defence was brilliant against a very good WBA attack !!! UTW DTTB

Watched on TV after all the jet lag, I concur first 30 mins we looked class and should have scored more, that would have finished them off. However we were a totally different team after that allowing them to play to there strengths, its a good job we have a steady defence and a great keeper.
Will our player of the season be another goalkeeper, itS telling on how poor we are going forward.

What a player Alvaro is. Pass and move, makes it look easy.
Love the disgust he has when someone just boots the ball to absolutes nobody. Ands he’s right to do so.

Surprised at some of the comments.
As it has been a Queen, a King and two Prime Ministers since the previous win I'll gladly take the 3 points, even if the match should have been wrapped up by half time.
Baggies were mediocrity personified....and it did not surprise me in the least when Swift, Molumby and Wallace were all subbed. Having possession is one things, opening up the opposition with the ball is something else.
The exception was their left winger...class act. Far too good for Browne who was pants throughout the game. Dived in early doors and let their man in and, after that, stood off so far he may as well have been on the other side of Moor Park for what use he was, admittedly he got no support from Brady on the right who also had a poor game. Again not surprised when Bowne was the first one hooked...looked much better with Potts getting tight.
MoM for me...Whiteman, thought he was outstanding in breaking up attack after attack, closely followed by Lindsay and Storey. ----
SLC if you mean Riis was offside then you must not sit anywhere in line with the box..he was at least a yard in front of the rb when the pass was played...to his credit he moved quickly.

Daws, I was referring to storeys tackle on their player which would have been deemed a penalty by VAR

Daws, I was referring to storeys tackle on their player which would have been deemed a penalty by VAR Bizarrely I didn’t see it at the time, having followed the ball. Looked blatant but about time we had some luck. 👍 I was more than happy we won.

The final time Browne gave the ball away (did it a few times in quick succession and lost Diangana a few times too), Lowe went absolutely ballistic and immediately screamed for potts to get ready. A lot has been said about lowes subs not changing games for us but Potts coming on saw that game out for us yesterday. Finally shut down their only threat. Woodman MOTM for me. Did everything right when under pressure and one excellent save from a huge chance. But could have been Storey, Lindsay, Whiteman. Alvaro also quietly had a very good game I thought.

Interesting comment that brown...I sit in the STF and I was highly critical of Lowe for not subbing Browne sooner.
Storey tackle didn't register with me either...havn't seen any highlights.

I felt a bit for Browne, constantly over run and up against their best player by far, he got no support and was generally trying to cope with the overlap alone. Potts did get tighter but also had the advantage of Ledo and Woodburn coming on soon after when we dropped to 1 up top.

I can definitely see it this way too, Daws. Could question why Browne even started there but Lowe did say he'd have to experiment to find a solution. I think it's clear now that if the opposition has a clear threat on their left flank then it has to be Potts who plays. If it's a game we're expecting to be higher up the pitch and the stringer team then maybe Browne is the right man in those situations.

Watched on TV and in real time I could see it being given, when you look at the replay and with it slowed down it was a lot clearer should have been given. We dodged a bullet with that one. I think with VAR it would have been overturned and therefore given.
