Played for both Many players have wore both of the blue and white shirts over the years some more notable than others One player "Mick Rathbone" Birmingham fan started his career there as an apprentice in 1974 making his professional debut in a defeat to them with the tower down the road . 11 years later in 1987 PNE payed £20000 pounds for his services (around 400 million in todays money ish) he went on to make 91 appearances for the club many of which i saw as a young lad. A knee injury ended his career on the pitch but this has meant he had a very successful time on the opposite side of the treatment table Basil as he affectionately known by his fans has gone on to write two successful books about his time in football , having read them both i cant recommend them enough . Give him a tweet if you want to order a signed copy  As for the result it looks like Mick is sitting on the fence

Shame Hughes isn’t back, Cunningham done well but oddly Hughes offers more going forward with his overlapping.
Woodburn out too, so personally I’d go back to DJ and Browne, McCann imo is a destroyer not a playmaker, Brady maybe also ready for a rest.

Just remembered that Ryan Woods is at brum, MOTM performance incoming from him. Ryan Woods was transferred to Hull City in August. He was our best passer of the ball but poor defensively but we have Bluenose favourite Chong as a replacement on a permanent deal after he was on loan to Blues from Manure last season. I think it’ll be tough for Blues today due to your solid defence but I’m hoping that Blues will be the first to score against you Lilywhites and due to our circumstances a 1 ~ 1 would be a great result for us. Hope it’s a good entertaining game for both sets of fans. |
