HT 1-1
Burnley look good but we're standing up to them.
Im not sure johnson has touched the ball. The midfield needs changing.

Phantom I love your optimism I think they will move up a gear second half the gulf to me is enormous. Not our fault they have money we don’t it is that simple their body language just suggests we have this have we had a shot? Their keeper slipped as he was switched off, no surprise he must have been thinking about Netflix he had nothing else to do!

Unfortunately I hadn't realised that the game was today and due to work commitments I couldn't attend Deepdale tonight, so watching on TV.
Happy with the performance so far against clearly a more talented team.
However, I do wonder what Parrott offers other than getting as many yellows (and hopefully not reds) as his namesake John. No doubt my judgement of players is poor (I said similar about Andy Carroll when he was on loan and look how his career turned out). But I feel that there's a far better understanding between Riis and Evans.

Parrot doesn’t offer anything I’m afraid. No better than Maguire

You don’t have to explain yourself bud. It doesn’t make you a carp supporter Just annoying that I arranged a client appointment in Wigan at 6pm tonight on a match I'd have loved to attended. And with reffing grassroots football one of the few I can. For some reason I thought it was tomorrow night.

BTW I understand why on a yellow that McCann was subbed. I can see a double yellow for us tonight especially after Brady's yellow following the dive by Benson.

Good point against a quality side. I’ll take that . I Can’t understand why Alvaro doesn’t start???

A million miles away but credit they are fired up and fair play to the manager but it won’t make pleasant watching now wider season tickets were cheap

Good point against a quality side. I’ll take that . I Can’t understand why Alvaro doesn’t start??? He can't oust Brady with good reason, but why he can't be right wingback? He seems just as comfortable on his right foot. However, Potts didn't let himself down at right wingback. But looking at him now, what a player Brownhill has become. He got a lot of stick at Deepdale, but for me he was the player of the match.

Decent point but we a long way off Burnley. Massive gulf in class shown tonight. But matched them for effort.
Dont think we’l be seeing £7 mil offers for Riis again. Basic skills for this level are non existence, can’t hold the ball up at all. Loses the ball 90% of the time and worst of all are the half arsed attempts at closing down. No excuse for not running yourself into the ground.

First televised game in the rule of King Charles the 3rd Could have secured a win late on, we did score a goal at Deepdale, need to get Alvarez on sooner, forwards need support sat far too deep for long spells in the game. Burnley had class that we can only dream of but did have a bad habit of falling over and conning the Ref, saying that Freddie didn’t have a shot to save second half

Looked better when Fernandez and Hughes got on. Played a bit higher up the pitch. Ledson did well for me. Potts doesn’t let us down and I feel Browne would have given us more forward momentum. We need two strikers and more cover on the right. Based on tonight I’d go
Fred Storey Lindsay Hughes Potts Ledson Whiteman Fernandez Browne Johnson Riis……but his confidence is shot.

Enjoyed the game, great defensive display, the back 4 especially with Hughes is up there with the best for a long while. Obviously we lack a bit going forward but a great point against a good side

We have a goal difference of +1. We are the lowest scoring and lowest conceding. Need a striker in January. Riis, Parrott, Evans and Maguire won’t get 20 between them.

Lots of statements of the obvious on here...not a criticism but a reflection that we are mostly all seeing the same thing.
Defence is good, even better when Hughes is on for Cunninghma.
Riis, rocket, rectum.
It's the midfield that's disconcerting...creating very little. Not helped tonight by McCann's early yellow and substitution...thought he was having a decent game.
But given the persistence with 3 at the back when up against a technically superior side it means the wbs have to hang back...they created nothing tonight until Alvarez came on (got to find a place for this lad). With a another defensive midfielder brought on for McCannn and DJ trying avoid having any influence on the match by falling over on the rare occasion he was near the ball, it is not surprising that we created nothing until Browne came on and got forward.
Parrot? Praised him recently for his work rate but he is nowhere near being a Championship striker.
I's all disconcerting....there really isn't much between us and a plunge down the table if we don't start winning some games...but with the formation and team selection at the front there's as much chance of scoring as of winning the Cup.

Take the point and move on, did well still to be level at half time, poor goal to concede, mind you they will probably say the same seeing the keeper slipped mind you was probably tring to emulate their outfield players who seemed to go down so easily. Mon too shabby Burnley side work the ball well, small nippy wingers. TBH Hughes and Alvaro gave us a better balance, Brady should be played further up field never a wing back. Parrott needs a goal seems to be trying to hard, defensively always thought Storey looked a good player and Lindsay is exceeding what he has done before Pre match formalities every credit to all fans very well observed silence and Watson delivered a perfecrt National Anthem

A tough game to watch and get excited by. Maybe it was mcannes early yellow, DJ doing nothing or was it the minutes silence? The place was rocking before that. Who knows? Mcann whiteman and ledson need to make the midfield work as our captains seem to be off the pace. Defence looks solid and I'm happy with front line at the moment. They can't live of hopeful punts up field.
What was the delay after their goal? Sky commentators just seemed to ignore what ever was going on.

If Riis and Parrot are to be our strikers for the season we are in s--t street incapable of creating anything off their own bat or working with each other and getting very little quality service from midfield and the only thing I can credit RL for up to now is the improvement in the back three especially when Hughes is on unless serious improvement we are in for a hard depressing season

Came away (yet again) feeling flat. Cannot add anything to the above comments which I largely agree with. Is it what some catholics call self flagellation?

They were far better, great movement, rarely gave the ball away and at times it looked like they had two extra on the pitch. But PNE kept going, so credit to most of the team for that. But if anyone thinks we are top two or top six, they are on something. We are, without some decent additions, mid table, which given the squad is reasonable.
Lastly Whiteman annoys me with his floaty free kicks and corners.....Brownhills caused us an issue, faster and lower angle.
I and i think many others still have concerns over RL.
