Saturday 20th August Apologies, for some reason I thought I was doing Coventry. Last minute thread then. Watford will be wanting to get straight back into the Premiership &, from what I have seen so far, they will be in the shout. Saar looks like good for them & the Manager looks very capable. Given that they change Managers regularly, maybe they've got one to hold on to. This will become a big test of North Ends Defensive unit, not having conceded so far &, if we can prevent them scoring, we are in the challenge for the Playoffs. Sorry I've messed up but the best I can do at the Last minute. Going 0-0 as a good result for us. Enjoy the game. |

My memories of Watford games are limited to two local lads - Lonners saving a pen on the opening day of the season to secure a point and Jamie Proctor scoring at Deepdale to win the game when already relegated. Scott Leather played right back.

Princess Diana had been involved in a car crash in Paris came through, never forget it 😰

Listening to the Watford commentary and even they said you know dj will pull out of a challenge.
Need more bite in the middle.

I am not disappointed. 5 Clean sheets is quite remarkable. Firstly, it breeds confidence amongst our Defenders. Secondly, it makes other teams sit up and notice. Eventually, we will have to improve our finishing or risk leaving gaps when moving forwards but time will tell. RL is doing good Defensive work & it is easier to teach Defending than score goals. I'm impressed so far

Agree Wally we are a good side with a bit of luck we would be right in the mix. Thoroughly good game night even get SLC on next home game!
Desperate for reinforcements our tempo is terrific but we will run out of steam as I thought one or two very tired players in the end. Storey was terrific I thought Wiseman was quiet by his standards and Parrot is terrific. Very happy

Still unbeaten, no goals conceded in all honesty their keeper made some cracking saves where Freddie only made one, our forward line may not be producing but by the heck their overpaid, prima donnas up front couldn’t hit the proverbial barn door. Greg slotted in well for Hughes but I would have left Browney on he was having a good game and perhaps brought Brady off instead as looked knackered 2nd half. A number of tired legs at the end and still need to be convinced by Woodburn. Storey looking the part and again, not my favourite, but Lindsay certainly earning his corn.
Ref looked an absolute sleeze with his grey long locks and hairband Peter Stringfellowesque
Another cracking result for Plastics 🤣
