Can’t believe the first club to achieve back to back promotions from the championship before Christmas are 3-0 down.
Diaz offskis and no defence. Plenty of chickens to pluck mind.

Coventry situation ridiculous. To start a season with an unfit pitch is unacceptable. Play away or award the points. Can’t have a series of postponements.

...and why should Coventry City (and their supporters) be punished for something that is 100% not of their making (on the contrary the club has been trying desperately to get those who are responsible to address the matter) and the club and fans are already being punished by having to play away and postpone games?
I completley sympathise with their fans.....who have been dumped on from a great height more often than the fans of any other club I can think of (even Bury) ever since Highfield Rd was sold for the benenfit of the former owner.
Current situation is 100% down to WASPS weho should have had pitch replacement in their contractual arrangement with the Commonwealth Games organisers.
It now appears that they are going bust and simply don't have the money to pay for a new pitch...and why should Coventry City p[ay for this (when the club is cash strapped because of the heavy rent it pays and which requires the owners to provide a playable pitch?).
It now looks like its the Coventry ratepayers who are going to have to stump up to sort out this mess..and that should not be the case either.
(Ultimate responsibility for what has gone on at Coventry I suggest rests with past owners and the poor governance of the FA and EFL. I definitley do not support pitch invasions of any kind but I can understand the frustration of Coventry fans).
It's not lambasting the club and its supporters require but an understanding of how they are where they are and support to get the matter properly addressed.

The championship is wide open this year. This could be underlined with a PNE victory Saturday.

Agree with dawsonsjs,on this they played 65 games of rugby sevens during the Commonwealth Games it is not surprising the pitch copped it, it's does seem funny that when rugby clubs take ver at football clubs things go to pot, same happened at Stockport when Sae joined up with them the football club became and after thought

‘Despite both clubs being owned by the same family, Watford have sold Hassane Kamara to Udinese for £16m and will be loaned back for the season’
Seems fair to me 🤔

Blank cheque book at Stoke. I can see him going, probably regrets not going for it while he was here. Same with the West Brom job aswell.

Makes sense. He lives in Longridge which makes Stoke a lot easier to travel too. And who would really want to live in Sunderland.

Not sure it should be on this particular thread but WBA v Burnley tonight both sets of players on massive wages we just cannot compete looking forward to seeing Wallace and Swift the best two players in the championship for me as well as the French kid at Bristol all out of our league. 51 points and I will be happy.

Hard to believe we’ve never been in the top league for so long. Biggest club never to play in the premier league, a stat you don’t want!
