I think you need to speak to some Prem fans...ones I know would infinitely prefer 3pm Saturday kick offs and are seriously fed up never knowing what time or even what day they will be playing, can't plan anything

I note that Barnsley FC has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with US Mobile (New York based mobile network company) that is worth more than PNE's entire annual commercial income. (For which they pay the price of a naff looking Americam eagle logo on the front of their shirts). (Mind you this pales cf Chevrolet's £64m annual deal with Man U).
In ther meantime our Chair (and club owner) tells us commercial income isn't important.
Perhaps this is because the club is inept at attracting it?

I remember all those years ago when I was being ripped off for my measly £100 worth of shares ( it was all I could afford at the time and was a fortune to me personally) but the thought of Trevor Hemmings taking over the club,at last, I thought was going to be the start of a new dawn.
I now sit and wonder if going into administration would have been a far superior option.
Seeing where Brighton, Bournmouth are, and possibly Luton or Coventry could be, I don't think I would be contributing to a statue of Mr Hemmings should the club feel it was required.

Well done Luton on getting to the play-off final.
A club that has had a strategic plan in placed since re-entering the Football League inc. an excllent recruitment programme.....and with a wage bill half that of PNE.
It is also planning to spend £10m on upgrading Kenilworth Rd prior to a move to a £100m new stadium...financing is already in place.
Shows what you can achieve with competent leadership.

Who'd have taken one of them for the Prem before the season started? Alwaysd rated Mark Robins.
Just shows what competent recruitment and management can achieve.

Coventry City, out of the EFL 6 yrs ago & in the Playoff Final. What are PNE doing in comparison. The issue is plainly at the top - get rid of the Riddler. Everywhere he's been has been a disaster. How can anyone support a perennial loser? PS. Everton have signed the Southampton Head of Youth /Academy etc. If only we had someone who could recognise talent. Then again we let Tyrese go to Rovers. Brainless

They took Maguire for nothing as back up for Hamer and Gyokeres...but had not had to play him. Nothing wrong with that....I'd rather have had Maguire any day than a non-scoring Parrot and hopeless Woodburn.
As for outplaying them we faced them in the second match of the season before they got going and won 1-0 and at Deepdale we never looked liked scoring and were fortunate to come away 0-0.
As our defence has got worse during the season (minus 14 deficit) their defence tightened up and performances improved. That is down to good management (or, in our case, clueless game management).

Suspect our more modern stadium will have fallen down by the time we reach the Premiership, if ever.
I believe their old stadium has a leaky roof just like our "modern" stadium.
At least they have a good team and structure in place.
Their results talk for themselves whereas we just talk.
