Very talented Leicester side. We asked questions of them second half. Always positives to be taken. McCann looked good going forward and we know he can tackle. Browne same. Storey looked OK. Ched offered a different problem for Leicester and Riis always looks like he’s got a goal in him. Bizarrely I’ve heard a lot about our new recruits and I wasn’t too impressed by Woodman / Brady. We’ve not really addressed WBs although they are key to the system. Really disappointing but not surprising that new recruits will join after pre season. It’s just how it works. Would love to see transfer window fixed to a month say July. Wouldn’t interfere with holidays and would force the deals.

Glad to see the unsavoury is one nowhere to be seen. Time to get rid if anyone will take him. If PR anticipated his sell on value would be zero when he signed him, why did we sign him and alienate a large proportion of our fanbase at the same time? Not good enough at this level and an embarrassment to the club. Personally, I wouldn't have allowed him to travel abroad with potential access to vulnerable female supporters. Another question of judgment for PR to answer. Other than this I've been quite impressed by PR's continued improvement.

Not sure who you are talking about Bobble?
2nd half much better when we went 2 up top, I thought Ched made a massive improvement, Mcann isn’t a WB and is miles off Browne or DJ as a footballer imo, good goal though. Some of the play down the left with Brady and Hughes was good, Storey looked a level above Bambo too imo.
Leicester are a class outfit and could easily have had 2-3 more but I thought it was a good work out.

Agree with much of your post,Phantom. I too was expecting more from Brady, but like the others he was faced with very good opposition who are quick, anticipated/read the game, and were well drilled.
Bobby, you have lost me. If you were referring to a certain forward, check the second half line-up.

Didn’t go don’t like friendlies my source said about Brady need to keep him interested read into that what you will. I think Leicester are a top top side Harvey Barnes I am staggered he is not at a massive European club. Another my source said (I told you about Robbo money and Archer not dead) Lowe feels we will be right up there a tad optimistic I am led to believe.

Only viewed it on YouTube but Leicester were a pleasure to watch, including DI's save. But enough from PNE in the second half to wet my appetite for next season

I thought Brady played well, I think his team mates need to get into the same game. If he is injury prone like has been suggested, nobody has told him about it because he holds nowt back.

Leicester fan perspective of Deepdale:-
Went to Preston today, first time I've been there for years. What a fabulous ground, a real proper football ground & has floodlight pylons. Wonderful view from the Bill Shankley Kop, it would be great if they got promoted.

Leicester superior by far, could have put 8 or 9 past us. I like Brady, top player in the this league

Leicester superior by far, could have put 8 or 9 past us. I like Brady, top player in the this league I agree but it is what should be expected, they probably have many players that cost more than our entire squad and Vardy’s wages alone would cover all our players. Having said that we gave them a good game and in the second half especially we put some good moves together and our goal was a good team goal and fairly decent too. I also thought Brady looked like even if he wasn’t altogether Premier League quality he had benefited from the experience. It is said he is injury prone but it looks like nobody has told him about it cos he worked as hard as anyone on the pitch. Hope we can sign another goal scorer to form a partnership with Riis, it looked like he and Archer were just getting an understanding as the season came to a close. PS… If Woodburn can keep up the good showing up till now maybe he has the new lease of life that he maybe required. If another two or three signings are made Mr Lowe will have selection headaches.

I still don’t get the love in with ex players. If we can get Archer back we will certainly be a force this season. Him and RL have a great relationship. Only weak link for me is Hughes

There will be other Clubs interested

Only weak link for me is Hughes I thought Hughes was our player of the season last year! The LCB role is perfect for him imo. I feel he probably lost out on a better career playing LB and if he’d shifted inside years before he’d be a premiership player

Like Bailey Wright and countless others first division player. My opinion and I would be happy to be proved wrong but he and Lindsay are our weak links.
