I can think of a few players I would rather leave than Browne Me too but the likes of Maguire, Earl and Evans won’t bring in any cash. |

My problem with Browne is he goes missing for large chunks of the game, he is not a natural motivator of others. If there is a deal to do get it done

Browne is one of the first names on the team sheet for me, a great athlete, one of our most technically gifted players and a regular at international level.
We would need to spend millions to get to get a player anywhere near as good.
I don’t think we are too far away from having a squad that can really compete next season, and central midfield is our strongest position.

He gets about the pitch and has great energy but I don’t think that’s something we are short of. I actually think he’s gone downhill since we stopped the presssing game under AN. That was made for him. |

Browne to me is not one of our most technically gifted. His passing accuracy is very inconsistent, partly because he does not always "see" a pass, but instead runs into cul-de sacs and frequently appears to fall over his own feet in such situations. I have never doubted his efforts from his very first appearance as a sub when Welsh talked him through the game,.But as a leader/captain on the pitch we could do better

Two goalkeepers and a striker I’m expecting. (Not in the know)
We’re in a unique situation regarding goalkeepers, normally you know if you’re coming in as a number 1 or there’s already an established keeper. Anyone coming in now will be competing for the shirt.
Not always ideal having two number 1s.

I was looking at the bigger picture. Unless he could fit in as RWB, for example, we have more than enough MFs. In addition, he has apparently indicated that he is ambitious and wants to play in the PL. He is one of only a few players that could command a sizeable Fee, we have adequate cover & the funds could be utilised to balance the Squad

As an aside, Grealish changed the game. tonight, Southgate needs to grow a pair and use our nest attacking options from the off. We have issues at the back but going forward I don’t see any better |

I just think he’s not progressed as expected and at £2.5m we should snap their hands off. For me, he’s held Ali McCann back since AN left and he wouldn’t be in the first 11 if everyone was fit. To compare him with Paul McKenna is also pretty strange |
