Any thoughts on starting XI? I think back to 352 and a start for McCann instead of Whiteman. I think we may see McCann but possibly on the left. He seems pretty fixed on Whiteman, Browne and Johnson. He doesn’t seem to see the merits of McCann yet which is a concern to me. He’s got a bit of everything and less prone to mistakes. I think Riis may miss out. Personally still buzzing from Mcr run Sunday so it will take a really poor performance to knock me off my perch. Hopefully won’t see that. Looks amazing. Hope we perform tonight. Won’t take a lot to get the crowd going. A strong 50/50 in the first couple of minutes, show them we mean business and take it from there. Not a night for the faint -hearted so I strongly disagree with one of the above wing back selections..Had it not been this derby game I would have had no hesitation dropping Browne but given his inconsistency he is probably due a decent game.
I don't closely follow B'Pool so have little idea of their style, tactics, better players.

They work hard and have a goal in them but they were outclassed by Forest and generally we do OK against the better sides. So I think we edge it if we are at our best but if we don’t match their work rate we’ll lose. I’d go same as Mooney except McCann in for Earl and Ched in for Riis. Looking forward to it only local pride at stake. |

Earl is a non starter for me also.
He's confidence is shot and maybe dates back to a few poor games for AN followed by being sent out on loan.

Thought we won the game with a rare piece of quality.
Love it and thought we more than matched their desire.
Atmosphere amazing. So much better than an FA cup game v a prem side.
