Saturday sees the return of AFC Bournemouth to Deepdale. It is often forgotten that when listing the 92 league clubs Alphabetically this one comes first. Here's a few 'facts' about Bournemouth: 1) It's so far south, they actually speak French 2) I've never been there 3) It has a population of over 180,000 - bigger than Preston! 4) Amanda Holden once cycled round the town naked for a £20 bet. The inhabitants fled.  5) The seafront is 7 miles long and they get nearly 8 hours of sun per day over the course of the year. That's about 7 hours and 50 minutes more than we get in Ribble Valley. Key PlayerTodd Cantwell has joined of loan from Norwich and a couple of years ago, Norwich valued him at £50 million. That's madness, but he's very, very good at this level so we will need to make sure that Ben Whiteman gives him a dig early on and he may hide. Dominik Solanke - scores goals...and a lot of them Nat Phillips - Battle of the Liverpool Loanees. Who is better? Nat? or Sepp? Current FormSince being knocked out of the cup by Boreham Wood, they have won three on the spin, including (hilariously) a late, late show at Blackpool, when Pearson showed he was still a true nobber by celebrating like they'd won the Champion's League. Interestingly, players have been sent off both for and them against them recently, so maybe they're a bunch of niggly little toerags. Who knows? Not me! What else? Their gaffer, of course. Bright fella Scott Parker... here he is in what for me was probably the highlight of his football career. |

Many thanks Mooney for managing this match write up, when you're very busy. Interesting that the last two towns have featured ladies parading in the buff. However, there's 2 other things I'd like to comment on-but I can't remember what they were! Draw will be acceptable for me

Cheers Mooney, Been to Bournemouth a couple of times, it's a nice place. Gonna be a hard game but hey, we did them once, we can do it again. (maybe)
Home win to at least keep us above the scum.
Hunts will keep them at bay.

Lovely place Sandbanks and all that a load of Scousers went there when I lived in Pompey early 90’s ran the police riot and the crime rate went through the roof! True story, and it is official Scott Parker is the thickest man in professional football!

Lack of activity on here probably says it all about the run in. Win tomorrow will see us 4 points off the play offs with 30 still to play for. Nothing special about the teams above us either. Huddersfield looked half decent but we where the better team that day.
But, this is north end we’re talking about. 1-1.

Cheers Mooney, I always wonder why Bournemouth spread the cash on players yet play in the Grotty Vitality Stadium with a 11,329 capacity Time for Archer and Riis to get back on target …. Would be delighted to see them black boots on the Deepdale turf tomorrow 2 0 win for me |

One team this season is going to come to Deepdale and prove me wrong when I say the standard of the league is dross. I think AFCB will be that sure today.
Going 0-3 unfortunately.
I was at Bournemouth earlier in the season and it was our best performance so far.
Hope the idiots lay off Pearson as he went for the right reasons IMO, great player, who’d walk into my best 11 in my lifetime.

Could do with a home win, great from RL away as far as points and performances go, but a mixed bag at home..

I’d personally play Hunts, but that’s because he’s the greatest player the world has ever seen. 😂 Earl on the left, I know people get frustrated with him, as I do as well, but he’s not as bad as people make out, and is a better option than a right footed attacker in that role! Beautiful day today, looking forward to it now, feeling positive having run a PB for 10k this morning, got 4 weeks to shave another 2 minutes off. Mo Farah must be papping his pants. Going for an Archer thunderbolt today to open the scoring. 3-0 PNE. |
