Could be the luck pne need tomorrow as we entertain Norwich. Norwich , too good for the champ but not good enough for the Prem, that's becoming an all too familiar situation nowadays for whoever goes up.
I think pne can get something here. Historically apart from fa Cup last season we've done well against Norich at Deepdale. Even before I saw Farke comments I felt the shackles will be off, Neil gone, players.relaxed and we might surprise a few.
Bearing in mind Farke comments could be mind games,
i'll go for a 2 0 win. Potts and Sinclair.

KO 2pm  V  Our second Easter in lockdown sees us challenging the best team in the league. More than two points a game and a goal difference of +29 places Norwich firmly in the driving seat for automatic promotion. Contrast that with managerless North End desperate for two more wins as quick as possible to end mild relegation fears. The North End faithful will be curious. Curious to see the line up, formation and the approach of the players to the game. Will the shackles be off? Will they play with freedom and expression? We’ll know by 4pm tomorrow after an early good Friday kick off. When we changed manager in 2013, North End played a fantastic game at Deepdale to beat promotion bound Bournemouth 2-0 will goals from Beavon and Holmes. In fact the last time Norwich played at Deepdale in the league we witnessed free flowing football as North End went 3-0 up before Pukki sneaked a late consolation. We will all get behind the lads and wish Frankie McAvoy and his staff well. It’s a great opportunity for him to show what we he can do as the jury is well and truly out on the likely permanent successor. Insights1. North End can record successive home wins tomorrow for the first time since 2007. 2. Adam Idah scored a hat trick at Deepdale the last time the two clubs met in the FA cup. 3. A defeat for North End would be their worst run since December 2019. 4. Norwich have won 13 away games this season. 5. Emeliano Buendia has created the most chances in the premiership this season. I'd like to think we are in with a shout of a point. Although Norwich is the best footballing side in the division it looks like most of the regular first team choices have been away on international duty..and for so there will be less than 48 hours between games. If played it means getting back to Norwich just in time to get the Friday bus to Lancashire. An alternative is the moaning manager (must be something in the local water) will make changes.

I think we’ll play a diamond shape in the middle to try and cramp them up, wouldn’t be surprised to see Barky used on the left hand side of that to give us pace on the outside.

For me personally and I'm sure Chris will agree, I really want us to win and if we don't, at least play well and give a good performance. Not only because I want us to win every game , but also , it will show that me, Chris and Daws were right for a while. Neil needed potting sooner.

I voted him to stay when the poll first came up as I was confident that we’d stay up with him in charge. I said that as soon as we were safe then I’d pot him but we never got ti that stage and he had to go. Probably because I like AN was the big reason to influence me wanting him to stay, he definitely lasted a minimum of 6 months too long in hindsight. |

Ledson is better in this role than Whiteman as he can tackle. Gordon? I’m guessing there’s a view that in a 442 The wingers have to defend as well, hence SS getting the no doubt instead. |

Cantwell and buendia will be thinking they’re going to have a filed day with the extra space in midfield. Could be wrong but if they play 1 up top we’ll have the diamond midfield with Hughes and VDB filling the gaps on the outside which will hopefully give them less space in the middle |
