Firstly he’s got himself in the side and he’s been here less than a month. Secondly he’s made an impact having been given his chance. This lad causes defenders real problems. He’s not going to pushed off the ball easily, has good feet and first touch. Shots on target and can overlap with pace. Once he nets we could be looking 10+ with a similar number of assists. Early days but I really like him. Well done recruitment.

The chop and shot at the end today was Fuller esque. We’ve finally got that striker we’ve been missing the last few seasons.
Hope this has opened our eyes to the talent abroad. Miles better than Toney who’s gone for 10 million?! Pound! Not krone!!!

Toney is a good player who can put the ball in the net....once Riis starts doing likewise comparisons can be made. Also think comparison with Fuller is stretching it...Fuller had the pace, goal scoring and dribbling ability to do well in the Prem.
It's far too early to know what Riis will turn out to be. He has certainly made an impressive start. What I think he has given the side is forward movement...previously build ups were static. Ball would go in and others would have to get forward in support. Riis has a great turn and takes the game forward. His movement makes him a difficult player for defenders to mark. When he starts to put the ball in the net regularly then we will have an excellent cf...he had chances today, hit the bar with one, laid off another when he could have had a shot and put the ball at a comfortable height for the keeper with another. Although he didn't score what I liked his that he created his own chances. As long as he keeps up the movement I'm sure goals will come...but he will not be as prolific as Toney if he keeps dropping back to link up play, as well as did. Looks far more threatening when at the front.
Long time since I've been so impressed with the start a forward has made.
Since Savage was appointed at the end of 2019 he's the first signing made unless he also had a hand in Sinclair coming in.
If this indicates the club knows that recruitment hasn't been consistently good enough and reflects an improved standard then great, 'bout time.

Looks good but I try never to judge a player until a few more games, he looks exactly what we have been missing or should I say what “AN side needs” Could and should have scored today with some good direct play, possibly you could say a few of his through balls could have been a bit better later on in the game but a solid 9/10 start to his north end journey.. personally if we were playing 2 up top I think Seani could have been a better partner.. Re Toney, I honestly think that Shearer wouldn’t get 15 goals in an Alex Neil side, an AN forward has a bigger job than standing in front of the goal..

Impressed so far, skilful for a big guy, laying it off sometimes when perhaps should take a dig, but who knows what the coaching method is? Would truly love him to be a 20+ a season guy but as long as he continues Winning it, picking it up, laying it off and taking defenders on for pace with a random shot or 2 he will be a massive asset to PNE

Sod caution, this lad is an international player of the future. Said that about only 3 other North Enders in recent years... Brownhill hasn’t done it yet though!

We may have just signed the player to solve our problems. Brownes second today was a result of Riis causing so much trouble in their box. Top start for the lad

He’s good chasing the counter attack ball over the top. Sending off resulted from one. Gally could ping those for fun when the game is stretched.

I've been impressed by him, his movement, going past players and his strength. I hope he bangs in a couple of goals soon before his confidence drops.
Could end up being a fans favorite which we have missed for some time.

He spent most of the game running the back line and into the channels but the ball was never delivered. For the amount of time he had the ball, he must have been knackered! I think he will turn out to be a good player but what he is showing is that it isnt just the players up front that need replacing, the players behind him do, or a change of tactics.
