As I said nothing of the sort will happen anyway...which is why support will drift away.
What will happen?
AN will be so concerned about Derby and Rooney he will put a midfielder on him sitting deep, probably Browne maybe Pearson. DJ wil be isolated between two sitting midfielders and an immobile striker whilst the wingers, playing as wingbacks, stop at the halfway line. The space between them all and lack of pressing from the front will make it easy for Derby to play between the midfielders and they will exploit AN's negative , predictable tactics. Necessary substitutions will not be nade until it's too late and a goal down and the subs won't have time to play themselves into the game so their appearance only makes matters worse
So Derby will be without Lawrence and Wisdom...can only wish the latter well.
If the regular predictable AN set up fails again then there can be no acceptable excuses for change.
Yes I believe this side would do much worse than Saturdays side hence my original comment.
Rafferty has been great a left back but untried at Right back. Fisher has been good this season although has his faults.
Hunts was fantastic in his cameo appearances this season and should not have been dropped although I can’t agree with your comments on Davies.
Earl made 9 appearances for Bolton and 7 appearances for Ipswich, neither loan spell did he earn rave reviews. My Bolton supporting friend described him as ‘ok’. To suggest dropping him straight into our starting 11 against an in form Derby seems Strange.
Walker? Has anybody seen enough of this young lad to suggest he’s ready for first team action? If he was ready wouldn’t he have featured more this season. Seems a strange inclusion. Are we really saying he’s a better option than Barkhuizen, Ginnelly or Sinclair? 🤦♂️
No issues with DJ or Pearson, must start every game the both of them.
Potts our wide left? The player himself stated the other week that he likes to play and plays his best football through the middle in which I fully agree with him. I would like to see him given the chance to show us what he can do but he has been a huge disappointment since signing here.
Harrop is a fair shout to play number 10 but my feeling is it will take him a run of games to get up to speed.
Bodin up top on his own. It would be interesting to see how that would go although he is a soft arse.
Now is not the time to be experimenting or losing our marbles. When we have nothing to play for, sure experiment then. Plan for next season then. Provided AN gets the team selection and tactics right we have enough about us to compete as we have see in the first part of the season.
The scoreline absolutely does matter. 🤦♂️ Whilst it’s still mathematically possible to reach the play offs then we shouldn’t just give up and start ‘planning for next season’. 3 points behind, 7 games left and 21 points to fight for. 🤷♂️
