I was looking at a question fenners asked on another thread ref member status and wondered where we could take it to encourage more posting from a few more different people on the forum . Currently there are 10 or so posters with 5000+ posts and alot of people who visit the forum just to read , as best as i can see member status us currently trusted senior members , forum members and new forum members. My idea was to break it down to alot more levels with former players being your status value on posts with the ultimate being "Invincible status" Possible levels 20000 posts = Invincible 19500 posts = Tom Finney 19000 posts = Alan Kelly snr working down to 1 post = Anthony Elding 0 posts = Ian Ashbee I would have to talk to Pebble Admin to work out out how to set it up but was looking for input on possible ratings and who you fans see as the most valuable , there are so many players to chose from so it would make good reading . I think we could possibly have upto 50 different levels |

Elitism, I used to come on quite a lot under this and other names also being a mod then noticed what I would call a Daws fest when no matter what he posted would get ridiculed in most cases unjustified. Credit to him though never stopped him posting , wasnt really about elitism as a the current rate its going to take 5 more years for even our most prolific poster to get to "Invincible status" i just wanted to encorage those that dont post so much to join the debate rather than just read (wouldnt want Ian Ashbee on my profile) . Those who post on a regular basis may post more just to see who their next player status is . I also want input on which players & managers would be involved |

Interesting point /issue. There can be situations, and I've been there, when you get too personal. It is a Forum and we are all entitled to our own opinions. There will be many people who don't want to post an opinion and just want to learn what's going on. Don't think that this will make any difference really. However, we don't want to get to a situation whereby Pebblers are put off posting, like there has been on other sites

I originally left because i was being Modded far too often for the slightest language or joke and i got fed up of it. Mods took things too far, it became a Snowflake Forum. However , i have come back and still try to give out the same Banter and i don't get modded nowadays which makes the experience better and i'm glad i came back but not enough Posters now so not much debate. I'm not saying i should be allowed to use extreme language and abuse but i was literally getting modded back then for the slight poo word and things, i understand kids may read and extreme language is not acceptable but kids can see these things 22 times a day on You tube, online etc etc. |

OK. ProudPreston29 puts a lot of work into the forum and is constantly looking for ways to get more members and posts. Not to mention running the prediction league. I think he should be applauded! This topic was meant to be about changing the status for number of posts. A good idea. ( or not ) that is what the posts should be about so some were 'moved' ( posts are never deleted, just moved to another section of the forum just in case they need to be re-posted or looked into ) Over moderation? Before yesterday, the last post to be moved was 28th march. Before that, 3 in December and one of those was PNE From Afar ! I really cant see a case for saying there is over moderation! A major update to this proboards forum is overdue and they should be releasing it soon. If people think the forum is worth keeping alive, let us know and hopefully myself and the other mods will put the work in. If not... It's up to the members. Please try and stay on topic. I'll have a word with ProudPreston29 and get his idea up and working once he has a list long enough to warrant the change. Any problems, PM me or better still PNE From Afar as he logs in more often! |

Hardly eastend, Dawson is a WUM ( Getting personal ? )who is well recognised for going against the general consensus in order to create debate or difference in opinion ( Isnt this his opinion and what a forum is about? )so how other posters can be surprised or offended when people give a bit back is beyond me especially given the condescending manner in which he delivers his comments. ( no one has reported a post in a long time saying they have been offended )This forum is becoming far to PC and fighting your Corner is frowned upon for some strange reason. ( No posts moved or warnings given in over 6 months is too PC ? ) This is a huge reason why posters are not posting as much anymore. ( is it? )Does this add to PP29's idea of changing the profile ranks? |

The forum did have its banter but some of thats gone hence people leave. We dont want foul language of slating of others on here. People that was posting are not doing so now, it makes me wonder if they actually visit the site still. |
