Don’t really get the need for this UEFA Nations League, surely all the players who have played a full season would benefit more from a couple of weeks on the beach with their families relaxing? I know all the hype about fitness, turning up for 90 minutes on a Saturday, excessive pay packets but anyone can become jaded and pre-season training starts again in next couple of weeks for next season and for eg AB will hardly be feeling fresh and raring to go …. IMO of course 🤔

We’ve only learned that the players need a physical and mental rest. Far more important. Season starts next month.

Prem clubs will be next , they will be touring Asia, USA and the Antipodes before the season starts then by the end of September will be saying their players are burnt out. They will be wanting the Prem cut down to 10 teams so they can fit in all the foreign stuff in.   |

There isn’t anymore international games, just less friendlies.
Might aswell play a competitive game than a friendly with 10 subs.

He'll need to, Kirchner has withdrawn his bid. One can only assume that he was expecting to use borrowed money and the Bankers wouldn't put up the cash for Derby. Glad we got shut of any involvement. |

Two interesting choices, not sure how I’d react to either at deepdale. Both decent backgrounds but neither has much recent experience of EFL football on a budget.

The only positive I can think of is that it will stop players gaining 10 yards stuttering down the line when they’re taking a throwing. But refs should be tougher imposing the rule of taking the throw where it goes out of play. |
