PNE today went for a training session on the front at Lytham. Is this a new strategy ? A move away from the local surroundings to try and change the current mentality ? Or is it a chance to refresh the hard worked lungs with some revitalising sea air ? What ever it is , if we win on Tuesday night I'll be putting forward a motion that we move training to Lytham every week !

Carts reported today as being 'a reboot', whereas Russell said 'nice views, but too cold'...good idea I think. A brisk stroll and hopefully lunch out. A mate of mine is pals with Jim McCluskie and Jamie Hoyland, who he was having a drink with yesterday, when who turned up, but a weird mix...Marlon Beresford, Paul Simpson, Brian Horton and Phil Brown...something going on?

A weekend trek along the Pennine Way ?
Suggestions please !

Where's Paul Simpson at these days - his career's been in serious decline since he left us, or in fact part way through, since joining us!!! Marlon Beresford - a name from the past - very intriguing mooney - got me thinking!!! Just looked him up on the reliable wiki - he's played 2 games for Middlesbro' supporters team, but He is now a Accountancy tutor and Sports commentator. - wonder if he's here to help Trev with the books

Phil Brown once brought the Hull team up to the Lakes for a "team building" exercise and were promplty thrashed by Man Utd the following week..........!

Have you seen the pitch at Scunny?
It resembles the dunes at Lytham...very sensible planning by PB.

Welcome aboard Daws and Pasty - good to see you around.
Regarding North End - I must admit I was fearful that there would be a band after 12 games starting to call for PB's head, but it seems, certainly around me that the effort the team are putting in and the general performances are having the fans behind them.
I just wish we could get that first win so the players can truly believe in what he is doing - oh and i wish we could avoid the massive injury list - it seems to grow week in week out.

Phil Brown once brought the Hull team up to the Lakes for a "team building" exercise and were promplty thrashed by Man Utd the following week..........! But then again, everyone gets thrashed by Manchester United I think it is a good sign that Brown is trying to break up the doom gloom and downright embarassment that must hang over the club like a big black cloud these days. Getting them away from the training ground occasionally sounds like a smart idea. By the way, I wonder if Brown still thinks we can stay up. I know he keeps sticking with the party line... but it's a bit like watching the leader of a parade failing to notice that the band that was marching behind him has in fact drifted away. Realistically regardless of what he says his No 1 priority is keeping a strong squad for next season's promotion push in my opinion. I'll keep praying for a miracle but even I can now concede that for the time being that for us the Championship party is over.

I think that the fans at the last few games I ve been to have been superb!
To quote Chris Brown from his Twitter page: "Another poor result at home. Fans got behind us once again. Leeds good side but we should be winning at home"
I think it's fair to say that PB and BH are miles better than DF ever was with us, but unfortunately for us and them I guess, they came in 6 weeks too late.
I like PB though. He knows what he is doing and is always the first to hold his had up when he makes a mistake.....unlike DF's "individual errors are costing us" speach which he made week after week.

Just looking at the images - have I misunderstood or are people just extracting the urine out of my lack of IT skills, but I'm sure Browny159 is Chris Brown, not Phil Brown or is he just using an image of the former to disguise the latter - either that or the sunbed's broken!!! twitter.com/browny159

Not as funny as the Maurice Lindsey one though.....there was a fake Alex Ferguson account to running at the same time and they were hilarious!
The PB one though goes a bit too far!

Brain Horton has a fake as well; basically, they're all copying TheBigSam, a hilarious Allardyce clone! JProctor38 is also on Twitter now.

Never saw the conversations between 'Mo' and Alex 'loan shark' Ferguson, but I would imagine they were entertaining at the time of DF's demise or even before that!!!
