Our last 2 visits have been rewarded with maximum points on the road and last season’s 1 0 win led to the start of the downfall of Manager Aitor Karanka.
The 'out of touch' archaeic duo of O'Neil and Keane followed but they didn't last long.
After the sacking of Martin O’Neil in June Sabri Lamouchi’s took the helm and his charges have produced two fine displays in the past four days, beating highly-fancied Fulham 2-1 on their own turf before a three-goal win against The Rams on Tuesday night to progress into round three of the Carabao Cup and sit in 9th place 1 point behind North End in 6th place

Last away encounter at Forest:-
From their Forum:-
They are always a better team than anyone expects because their players are all so low-profile. They’ve got some good footballers though and Alex Neil is a very good manager.
This will be tough. They're a physical strong side, move the ball well and have speed in behind.
Preston are dark horses for me this season. Fancy them to upset a few
They're in fine fettle but they'll sure need to be to come away with any points from the CG in August. They've no chance. Another 3 points for the famous club.
The underrated shithouses of the league are Preston. Seriously tough game as we have seen in their last 2 visits here. We always get bullied by them.
Tricky fixture this one. Decent side who have had a decent start to the season.
The Man with the Whistle:-
Geoff Eltringham – last game he took charge over North End was the memorable Wednesday night last March against Champions elect Norwich City. Also in charge over the same game last season when we emerged as 1 0 victors and the Bristol City win at Deepdale
Will be a tough, physical encounter, sadly look like Barkhuizen ruled out, will miss he's fast breaks now he looks like to be back on form, Bauer or Storey dependent again on injuries, although Bauer has declared he is fit and raring to go! TC out for at least 5 weeks, Moult for the season … really hope last season’s nightmare not about to happen again although we do have more bodies in the squad. Harrop has to be in with a shout after Wednesday, Gally to start after being rested v Wendies.
Not a fan of the International Break but this has come at a good time to get the likes of Hughes, Nugent back into contention
Head says draw, heart an away win …. Always nice to get one over on them as I had to endure 10 years with my ex who was a Florist Fan!!
