I’m struggling to work out AN’s thoughts around our midfield.. Bayliss and Potts our most expensive signings since Healey.. (I don’t see Potts as a winger) Browne and Pearson seem to be shoe ins. Gallagher, Harrop and Ledson all good players and DJ the only left footed one of the lot who I rate but admit he may be on his way..
So assuming we play a 433, who are we going to play?
Pearson Potts Browne ?
Going to be a lot of unhappy players not making the squad I feel..
Tough one. I’d go Pearson, gally, Browne tomorrow. Guessing bayliss is replacement for gally and will share duties with gally over the season as he starts to take over. Does make you wonder about DJ after the rumours, have we started to put his name out there as available.
I think Potts best role is Browne’s no.10 position, certainly central. Can obviously play wide but we now have Bodin, barky & green plus maguire who I believe is more suited there than the lone striker role.
Neil certainly has a job on his hands keeping these lads happy.
Can’t see much game time for Ledson, DJ or Harrop.

It’s bad news for Harrop if you ask me. Can see this lad being higher in the pecking order.
"To dictate the pace and course of a game, a player has to be blessed with awesome qualities. Those who have accomplished it on a regular basis can be counted on the fingers of one hand – Pelé, Maradona, Best, Di Stefano, and Tom Finney"
I think deepdaleoldun, that Bayliss chose us because he thought he could get some first team football, maybe he could be right, lets hope so because that would mean he was playing well and deserving his place.
